QVC Italy Launches QVC Beyond With Stories of Resilience and Empowerment
All too often, women, people of color, and other underrepresented groups confront unfair barriers in their professional and personal lives. To help shine a light on these stories to inspire those facing these struggles, QVC Italy has launched QVC Beyond, a series of discussions with prominent Italian personalities on how they overcame society’s limits and flourished.
The first collection of QVC Beyond video interviews features Regina Baresi, former captain of Milan’s Inter Women professional soccer club, talking with other Italian sports figures about the challenges facing women athletes. Regina’s guests will include figure skater Valentina Marchei, racecar driver Michela Cerruti, MMA fighter Chiara Penco, rugby referee Maria Beatrice Benvenuti, and others. QVC Italy collaborated with We Are Female Athletes, a creative agency focused on women’s sports, to curate guests and stories.
The interviews are airing daily throughout July on QVC Italy’s television broadcast, website, and social pages and on the host’s and guests’ social profiles. At the end of the month, highlights will be summarized in a 15-20-minute podcast, which will be available on such leading channels as Spotify and Spreaker.
QVC Beyond will focus on a different theme and welcome different celebrities each month to celebrate stories of empowerment and raise awareness about the many obstacles that need to be addressed. QVC Beyond reflects QVC’s determination to promote inclusive environments that provide equity and a sense of belonging for every customer, community member, business partner, or team member.
“Our purpose as QVC goes far beyond shopping,” said Paolo Penati, CEO of QVC Italy. “We connect people, enrich everyday moments, and build relationships. We have a responsibility to help create a better world by addressing such challenges as inequality, climate change, and community well-being.”
QVC reaches 25 million homes in Italy via its Italian TV network and reaches millions more via its website, mobile app, and social pages. QVC entered Italy in October 2010.
